One of my favourite internet radio is gone: just visit Gobal Pop Conspiracy webpage. All this because of a change in the online music royalties. I was afraid of this to happen, and unfortunately, seems that most of the eclectic radios won't be able to handle the expensive new rates.
I will have a place in my heart for GPC. It insisted so much in playing Arcade Fire's Funeral, I got over my initial dislike and I ended up loving it (although I got bored of the band after a year of listening). They were also furries' fans, as I was (but I was not introduced to furries by them). But there is a list of nice bands I first heard on Global Pop Cospiracy: Apple's in Stereo, The Polyphonic Spree, RDJ2, Dragon Ash, Puffy, Le Tigre, Dave And Ansil Collins, The Leslies, Liquid Liquid, The Wondermints, Swearing at Motorists, Animal Collective, And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of The Dead,...
A good eclectic list, isn't it? I do not know how I will fill the gap. A real pitty. I just loved how people tried to promote music and educate the audience without a mercantile focus. But seems this is not the way 'they' like it!!
